Oi!!
It's been raining steadily all day, and raining almost hard steadily, with gusts of pretty hard and pretty-darned-hard sneaking in. At this point, Boulder-Creek.com is calling the total 6.85", and their numbers are pretty much in line with what we get, more often than not.
Yesterday, we got about 1-1/2"; it'll be interesting to see what we get tomorrow.
The power went away about 5:50p; visions of the 5th (of January) swam through my head, let me tell you!! Fortunately, it came back around 6:30.

Its been raining here too. And I don't care. Power outages though, are not fun, because we lose hot water when our power goes out, and we lose the ability to cook, everything is electric.
Oh, I’m not complaining (too much) about the rain; the redwoods and the rest of the flora and fauna (including the frogs!) are loving it, particularly since we had so little last year.
At least you have water running when the power goes; we have to use bottled water (since the water tank is below the house).
Cooking doesn’t work, either.
